Interesting Facts
- In 2000 MTV Video Music Awards, when Limp Bizkit won their award, Tim Commerford was the dude who climbed up the 15-foot high arc while LB was on the stand. Tim later on got arrested then released from jail.
- During their performance in Woodstock, Tim (again) set fire to the American flag which made patriotic Americans very angry. They obviously missed the whole message behind the act.
- Rage hired Michael Moore to direct the video for "Sleep Now in the Fire". Before Rage could stop playing, cops attacked Michael Moore; Rage and the fans went crazy when this happened and stormed the police. Rage ran across the street and made it inside the first set of doors of the New York Stock Exchange, and at this, someone hit the riot button and the steel security doors slammed shut, closing the flow of trade. Police arrested the band and the crowd was dispersed.
- On their SNL performance, Rage hung 2 upside down American flags on the set. Before performing, SNL and NBC pulled the flags down and lead to the cancellation of their performance. They were also asked to leave by the producers. Here's a quote from Tom: "The thing that's ironic is SNL is supposedly this cutting edge show, but they proved they're bootlickers to their corporate masters when it comes down to it. They're cowards. It should come to no surprise that GE, which owns NBC, would find 'Bullet' particularly offensive. GE is a major manufacturer of US planes used to commit war crimes in the Gulf War, and bombs from those jets destroyed hydroelectric dams which killed thousands of civilians in Iraq.". - Rage protested during Lollapalooza '93 by covering their mouths with duct tape and painting the letters PMRC on their chests. They protested against censorship and the PMRC.
- The band is against sweatshops that Zack was one of the people arrested for protesting against Guess? the jeans manufacturer.
