Kristin Davis: sex and the city's naughty nice girl - Interview On the most recent season of Sex and the City, while producers went to great lengths to disguise the expanding stomach of mom-to-be Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis' character, Charlotte York, was doing a little growing of her own. Goody-goody Charlotte exposed a breast to a horny sailor and bedded a man she felt nothing for. Musician and fellow cable TV star Chris Isaak has seen the show and wondered the same thing we did: Just how wholesome is Kristin Davis?
CHRIS ISAAK: Hello. How are you doing?
CI: Good, considering I just came off a 12-hour bus ride. So, while we were on the bus, I told the guys I was doing this interview, and we watched the episode of Sex and the City with the Navy guys. Was that a body double, or was that really you?
CI: On my show [Showtime's The Chris Isaak Show], I'm always writing nude scenes for myself. When we have actresses on, I always pencil in a shower scene, but they can tell it's my handwriting. [Davis laughs] Did you make them clear the set for that shot?
CI:--Well, you really couldn't see anything. Because on the bus, we hit the pause button and you couldn't see that much. And then we printed it out off the computer.
CI: So after we watched the episode, my drummer said, "Ask her if she was the most popular girl in high school." Were you?
CI: Tell me what position your boyfriend played on what team, [Davis laughs] because this will tell me everything.
CI: So you have gone out with musicians?
CI: What kind of stuff do you listen to?
CI: Everybody's got Diana. She's too good looking and sings too pretty. She can't last.
CI: Never call the record the last record.
CI: There you go. (both laugh) So what's next? Are you going to direct? Produce?
CI: Don't you get a say? You're a star! If you don't like something and you say, "I don't like this line," don't they change it?
CI: At least they explain it to you. Me, I just get derisive laughter in my face.
CI: I'm writing that down. So you shoot the show in New York but you live in L.A.?
CI: It's based on my house. When they decorated the set, I said, "Why don't you decorate it like my house?" and they just looked at me and said, "Well, we want it to look nice."
CI: When you're working in New York, who do you hang out with? Do you have a rat pack of friends?
CI: Really? So what about this whole thing about you guys having a cat fight? You pulled each other's hair, knocked over a table, rolled around in some water--Oh wait. I'm sorry. That was a dream. [Davis laughs] So from today's interview, we could kind of guess that you're a pretty wholesome girl, you live in a small, empty house, and you're having a good career.
CI: I couldn't be more regular if I lived on bran. So, I'm out of questions, Kristin.
CI: I'm going to need one.
Even though he gets to flirt with the likes of subject Kristin Davis, singer-songwriter-actor Chris Isaak insists he's just like everybody else. Oh, except for a few things. "I live on a bus, travel around with my buddies and play music all the time," he says. Isaak released his most recent album, Always Got Tonight (Warner Bros.), in February, and will return this winter to Showtime's The Chris lsaak Show. Source: Find ARticles |
