Kristin Davis Dishes on Her SATC2 Wardrobe

As ultra-feminine mom Charlotte York-Goldenblatt in Sex and The City 2, Kristin Davis is often draped in vibrant, ladylike sheaths by designers such as Oscar de la Renta (pictured right), Ferragamo and Zac Posen. The actress admits that playing such a stylish character has its perks: “Generally speaking, we get to keep our clothes from the movie,” Davis told us at the Weinstein Co. and Montblanc pre-Oscar party. “We’re really, really careful though because we often have one-of-a-kind samples from the runway. We don’t eat in them.” Though Carrie and Samantha are known for sporting the more adventurous pieces, Charlotte gets to wear a bold item of her own every so often. “I had these Zac Posen pants in the sequel,” Davis dished. “They are red satin lunatic pants—[Zac] admits that they are crazy pants. I would never wear them in real life because they are insane!”

ShoWest to fete ‘Sex and the City 2′ cast

The cast of Warner Bros.’ upcoming “Sex and the City 2″ will be honored as film ensemble of the year at ShoWest 2010.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Catrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon will be feted March 18 at an awards gala set to close the annual exhibition confab. ShoWest opens March 15 at the Bally’s and Paris hotels in Las Vegas.

“With the success of the first smash hit ‘Sex and the City’ movie release, based on the hugely popular HBO series, the cast of ‘Sex and the City 2′ have already garnered commercial and critical success for their roles as four friends making their way through life and relationships in the big city,” ShoWest managing director Robert Sunshine said.

“Sex 2″ opens May 27.

Montblanc Charity Cocktail & David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Fundraiser

Kristin attended the Montblanc Charity Cocktail party at Soho House in West Hollywood, California yesterday. The charity event was to benefit UNICEF. I forgot to mention that Kristin also attended the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust gala fundraiser last month in support of the orphan elephants in Kenya. Check out the photos in the gallery.

MOVIE REPS: ‘NO SEX & THE CITY 3′

Studio executives have brushed off reports they are expanding the SEX AND THE CITY franchise again, insisting there are no plans for a third movie installment.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon became global TV stars after starring in the original Sex and the City series from 1998 until 2004.

The fashionable foursome reprised their roles for the hit 2008 movie adaptation and their second outing, Sex and the City 2, will hit cinemas in May (10).

But rumours another installment is being lined up have been dismissed by New Line Cinema executives.

A company spokesperson says: “This is not true.”
