The Welsh presenter first interviewed Kim Cattrall and dubbed her a "sexy sex pot". Discussing the similarities between herself and on screen persona Samantha Jones, she remarked, "Well I do like younger men," before placing her hand on Jones's knee.

The presenter jokingly said "don't we all", prompting Cattrall to think he was gay. "Oh interesting, I'm finding more and more about you," she said.

Later, Jones drew Kristin Davis's portrait and presented the actress with the picture after their interview.

Commenting on the image, which showed Davis wearing a T-shirt with Jones's face on it under the words "Sex Panther Jones", Davis said: "I need a little more lip colour but you look hot. Sex Panther? Is that a previous name you're known under?"

"I was hoping you would end up calling me that," Jones replied.

"I will, I will," said Davis. "You don't do yourself justice [in the portrait], you look better than this."

T4's Sex And The City special airs on Channel 4 this Sunday from 8.50am.

"We love Carrie!" thousands of fans - most of them female - shouted outside Leicester Square. Despite public grumbling that the New York-centric film premiered outside the Big Apple, Sarah Jessica Parker, who revived her role as sex columnist Carrie Bradshaw in the film, said she was "thrilled" to open the movie in London. She did, however, note that New Line Cinema, which produced the film, decided to kick things off in the U.K.

Decked out in a green dress and quirky Philip Treacy hat, the 43-year-old Parker downplayed her role as an influential fashionista. Her unusual dress, however, she raved about. "It's awfully nice to be able to wear a beautiful dress," she said. "There's really such a delight in it. It's an indulgence."

Also in attendance were "Sex and the City" co-stars Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, who brushed off reports of on-set troubles between the film's leading ladies. "Making the movie was wonderful," she said. "It was just a dream. Since the show ended we haven't really been apart, despite what people think."



'Sex and the City' will open in New York on May 27 at Radio City Music Hall.

The actress, who reprises her role as Charlotte York Goldenblatt in the forthcoming film, said writer/director Michael Patrick King had wanted her to get naked in a shower scene.

She revealed that she had vetoed the idea, saying: "He tried to get me to be naked in that shower scene but I feel like I can't do that stuff. I feel really panicky about that stuff."

The actress said she turned to drink in her 20s in an attempt to feel more confident.

She told Shape magazine: "Alcohol freed me. I was really shy and I didn't know how to come out of my shell.

“I drank for the same reason I loved acting. I wanted to feel things and express myself and be free. And I'm not naturally that way."

She added that she has been sober for more than 15 years and now has a much healthier lifestyle, saying: "I don't drink and I've never smoked. They are bad for your skin and health."
