Substitution to PEAR Part 3.
Editing show_update.php

1. Back up show_update.php before going to step 2.
2. Look for the following lines:
   $notify_from = 'Enthusiast 3 <' . get_setting( 'owner_email' ) . '>';
   Below those lines, add these lines:
   //added because pear mail does not work @mail( $info['email'], $notify_subject, $notify_message, "From: $notify_from" ); //end of added
3. Look for the following lines in the file:
   $headers = array( 'From' => $notify_from, 'To' => $info['email'], 'Subject' => $notify_subject, 'X-Mailer' => 'PHP 4.x', 'Content-type' => 'text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1' ); $mailparams['sendmail_path'] = $sendmail; $mail =& Mail::factory( 'sendmail', $mailparams ); $emailed = $mail->send( $info['email'], $headers, $notify_message ); if( $emailed !== true ) { // PEAR Mail had an error! Try PHP mail() log_error( __FILE__ . ':' . __LINE__, 'Updated member notification failed. PEAR Mail returned this ' . 'error: <i>' . $emailed->message . 4. Look for these lines:

   Below those lines, add these lines:

5. Look for the following lines:
