Substitution to PEAR Part 2.
Editing members.php

1. Back up members.php before going to step 2.
2. Look for the following lines in the file:
   // send approval email? if( $info['emailapproved'] ) {
   Above that add these lines:
   //added for those who do not get emails through pear if ( $info['emailapproved']){ $to = $_REQUEST['email']; $subject = $info['title'] . ': Added'; $from = '"' . html_entity_decode( $info['title'], ENT_QUOTES ) . '" <' . $info['email'] . '>'; $body = parse_email( 'approved', $listing, $to ); @mail( $to, $subject, $body, "From: $from" ); echo "Confirmation Email sent!"; } //end of addition
3. Look for the following lines under /*______________________________________________________________MULTIAPPROVE_*/:
   // use PEAR mail! $headers = array( 'From' => $from, 'To' => $email, 'Subject' => $subject, 'X-Mailer' => 'PHP 4.x', 'Content-type' => 'text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1' ); $mailparams['sendmail_path'] = $sendmail; $mail =& Mail::factory( 'sendmail', $mailparams ); $emailed = $mail->send( $email, $headers, $body ); if( $emailed !== true ) { log_error( __FILE__ . ':' . __LINE__, 'Member approval notification failed. PEAR Mail ' . 'returned this error: <i>' . $emailed->message . '</i>', false ); // email via mail() @mail( $email, $subject, $body, "From: {$info['email']}" ); }
   Below those lines, add these lines:
   //added for those who do not get emails through pear @mail( $to, $subject, $body, "From: {$info['email']}" ); //end of addition
